The Board of Governors Merit Scholarship is based on academic achievement as demonstrated on the students ACT or MAP test scores. The award is for full tuition for a maximum of four consecutive academic semesters (fall & spring terms only) for a student starting college in the fall term and who graduated from high school the previous school year.

Student Eligibility: Scholarship funds shall be awarded to scholars beginning classes in the
summer or fall who meet the following criteria:

1) Have demonstrated unmet financial need (FAFSA, an alternate need analysis form, or
AGI calculation);

2) Are residents of Nebraska (including undocumented students);

3) Are enrolled in a minimum of 9 credit hours per semester in a STEM program or
vocational/CTE degree, diploma, or certificate program for a STEM occupation
that pays at or above median wage within the region (Grantee has the
discretion to allow students to drop below the credit requirement on a case-bycase
basis due to unplanned circumstances); and

4) Maintain a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA (Grantee has the discretion to allow
probationary periods for students who fall below the minimum on a case-by-case
basis).

The President's Scholarship is based on academic achievement and completion of at least one Northeast college credit class while in high school.       Scott Pathway Scholarship Requirements
      1.Live on the Norfolk campus in a dedicated living-learning environment
      2. Enroll in classes at the Norfolk campus
      3. Maintain a minimum cumulative grade-point average of 2.0
      4. Register for 12 or more credit hours per semester
      5. Attend career development activities
      6. Meet regularly with the Scott Pathway staff
      7. Participate in a paid sponsorship, internship, apprenticeship, or employment in a program-related field
      8.Citizenship or permanent legal residence is required for applicants*
      
      *Preference will be given to students with a demonstrated career interest and program alignment, proven resiliency and work ethic, and financial need as determined by the FAFSA. However, financial need is a preference, not a requirement.
